Hello
Welcome to the White Spring Dairy. It has been a very busy month for us all at The White Spring. Apologies for the lateness of this newsletter, our energy and time has been needed in the real world. There is a transformation taking place at the White Spring, and personally this seems to be reflecting in my own life. The only constant is change.
Autumn Equinox approaches fast. It hardly feels that I have had enough sun on my skin for Autumn to be here already. Let's hope September and October bless us with more sun.
As we approach the Harvest Moon, we can use this energy to empower and harvest our own divinely inspired projects and ideas. This is what we have done at The White Spring Wellhouse.
The White Spring Renovation
On the 29th September the Wellhouse will be closed for vital renovations. There will be occasions when the water may not be available to the public.
We aim to reopen the building for Samhain New Moon. After this time we will be reconstructing the shrines and there may be times that the Wellhouse will be closed to the public. We may not be able to keep to regular opening times, though we will maintain the Full and New Moon gatherings. We are hoping that the only full moon that we will miss at the Spring is the Hunters Moon on October 14th.
We apologise for any inconvenience. Please contact us for more information.
Avebury and White Spring prayer
On 8th August 08, Max and I took the White Spring water with us on a pilgrimage to Avebury and began a 9 day prayer for the restoration of the White Spring. When we collected our water before we left, there was an unexpected gathering in the courtyard.
There was a lady intoning as the group meditated and we just saw the end of the meditation. We collected our water and listened as one of the group members commented that it was a shame that the wellhouse wasn't open. At that very moment, Lynda and Nick arrived to open up. The group were delighted. Te lady who was intoning handed out some snakeskin to all the participants, and also gave some to us. Snake is all about transformation and transmutation. A most appropriate totem to begin our journey.
We arrived at Avebury and spent the day exploring, we climbed Silbury Hill, and sprinkled some water with a blessing and request that the White Spring's transformation is blessed with harmony, love and light.
At the top of Silbury Hill it was easy to see that there was a crop circle in the field below. It was too late to visit it. We wanted to be at the stones at 8pm for a meditation. We had a wonderful evening, we met up with Daisy and spent more time around the village before returning to Silbury Hill to camp at the base.
The next morning, we went into the crop circle. It was so precise, and there was a flowing energy to it and i found myself singing 'The river is flowing' as I walked. It was near impossible to walk against the way the grain was laying; as if moving against the current. We walked around the circle several times, then spent some time at the cetre. I know that some people see the crop cicles as temporary temples, and this one felt very much like a water temple; the markings wavelike.
When I returned home, I looked at the crop circle on the internet and found that it was a symbol of Ouroboros. Another snake! Well the transformation was blessed indeed. I collected some wheat from around the crop circle to take back to the White Spring.
Check out the crop circle here!
There was another circle in Alton Barnes, infinity symbol that appeared on 8.08.08.
At the full moon we lit a candle of peace at the well house, and honouring Lugh, the master craftsman, we offered our hands and our bodies as tools to do the work.
I made some bread to share to give thanks for the first fruits of our harvest and allow others to share in our prayer. I ground some of the wheat from the crop circle into the bread too. It was a small but powerful gathering; Thank you to all who joined us.
